Overview

This was a non-commissioned / non-contacted redesign concept simply spurring from my passion for the Backporch Coffee Roasters brand here in Bend, Oregon.

Concept Goals

When first looking at the Backporch website, I felt it didn't match the aesthetic and premium vibe their coffee shops put out. I wanted to create something modern and clean that matched the environment. This meant lots of whitespace, prominent balance of bold and light font-weights and clean buttons/iconography.

Responsive x Design

Any real website worth their salt these days will have a mobile version of their website. I felt that this Backporch concept could still maintain most of the larger layout, gracefully focusing on photography and written content through a slimmer viewport.

Takeaways

The Backporch brand has been a favorite of mine since moving to the Central Oregon area. This was a fun opportunity to showcase what could-be (like any concept). The company has since updated their website (not this design). Go order some of their amazing coffee at www.backporchcoffeeroasters.com!
